SM-6

 

The SM-6 was a scaled down version of the A-90, to match the AI-25 starting engines and AI-24 cruise turboprop.Several examples were built of this experimental design with the main objective of improving ability to climb over obstacles. Track-mounted flaps, slightly swept taillane (single elevator each side), single rudder, glazed cockpit and deflector strakes each side of the nose so no doors required over the starting engines.
